Trailer Wraps / Decals

Trailers provide even larger flat surfaces on their sides than box trucks. These sides can be used for advertising that is very similar to Billboard advertising you see on the side of a road or a highway. Big bold images, vivid full color graphics on trailers captivate the attention of passing vehicles as a trailer is hauled from one location to another.

Trailer Wrapping Options

Graphics options for trailers are exactly the same as those for box trucks except the size of graphics is much bigger. There are three main options:

Basic Vinyl Graphics

Some customers just want decals on the cab doors. This usually includes company logo, phone numbers, website, and a few bullet points about the company’s products on the vehicles doors.

Whereas, others may want a bit more coverage with graphics on the sides and the rear Rollup Door. This is the traditional and most common option for flat surfaced vehicles. Customers like to put their company information and a few bullet points about the company’s products on the box truck’s sides and the rear roll-up door. The large surface area of the trucks provides a huge billboard opportunity and the cost of advertising is very low because in most cases customers use just one or two colored vinyl lettering, which can easily last up to 7 years.

Intermediate Graphics

This is an affordable option that covers some parts of the sides and the back with decals, lettering and product pictures. In case of partial graphics only 25% to 50% of the vehicle is covered with a combination of vinyl text, pictures and logos. Because only some parts are covered with graphics, the overall cost of the graphics is much lower than a full wrap. Spot graphics, pictures and bulleted text are used to create an appealing theme for the truck. You can also include product shots, imagery, brochure covers and full color logos to get your message across.

When designed effectively, this option yields the same results as a full wrap, for just 40% to 60% of a full wrap price.

Advanced Trailer Wraps

This is an affordable option that covers parts of the trailer's body with graphics. Because the body is only partially covered, the overall cost of the graphics is much lower than a full wrap. Typical coverage and cost of a partial trailer wrap is 35% to 70% of a full wrap. The vehicle is covered with a combination of vinyl text, product pictures, logos, striping or a geometrical design to create an appealing theme for the pickup. When designed effectively, this option yields the same results as a full wrap, for just a fraction of a full wrap price.

Full Trailer Wraps

This option provides complete coverage on the truck's two sides and the back door. Some customers also opt to cover the small flat portion of the box in the front above the cab. These parts of the truck are completely wrapped with full color digital graphics printed on premium 3M Scotch graphics vinyl. Thus the entire vehicle becomes a full color moving billboard.

Full Wrap graphics on box trucks are becoming more and more affordable. With the cost of highway billboards rising and most billboards costing between $3500 and $5000 a month in rent, vehicle graphics are proving an extremely cost effective/ rent-free alternative.

  • A wrap is a large, digitally printed “sticker” methodically applied to a vehicle's exterior. The sticker wraps around the body of the vehicle like a shrink wrap and that's why its called a wrap!

This sticker is made out of a thin vinyl film with adhesive on the back that makes it stick directly to a vehicle -just like a sticker. Wrapping companies like us digitally print on this thin vinyl film using colorful designs for advertising and branding. Once the vinyl film is printed, it is laminated with another transparent sheet to protect the printed graphics from chemicals, scratching and fading. Next, skilled installers (certified by 3M) apply large pieces of this film to the vehicle using special wrapping tools that make it conform to the vehicle's shape. When viewed from a distance, a neat wrap gives the appearance of graphics directly printed onto a vehicle's body.

About 15 years ago, most service-based companies applied cut-vinyl lettering to their vehicles; however, with improvements in material quality and printing technologies today, most established companies opt for full or partial-wrap graphics. Cut vinyl lettering alone is no longer practical because wraps are much more colorful and appealing.

A vehicle wrap is carefully measured and documented at the very beginning of the process to ensure that the custom design/output and application exactly match your vehicle the day it comes in for the installation.

Our craftsman, 3M-trained installation staff will then apply the pressure-sensitive media directly to the vehicle using squeegees and heat to mold the media around contours on the vehicle body. We ensure that no blades touch the paint of your vehicle and also the logos, lettering and imagery match exactly to your approved design.

  • The communication potential of a full vehicle wrap is borderline untouchable by any other form of media! Wrapping gives you the bang for your buck that no radio, TV, online ads or billboards can compete with.

You look around today and see so many companies, from big box retailers to medium and small-sized businesses, wrap their cars, trucks, and trailers because fleet graphics work and offer the best return on advertising investment.
